Entries will open at 7pm on Monday 12th September for this years Hafren Rally, round 5 of the ACU British Bike Rally Championship, scheduled for Sunday 16th October. All entries wil be through the ACU online entry system.
Planning for this event is well underway, and format will be very similar to previous years. Start will be at the superb all weather Sweet Lamb motorsport complex near the village of Llangurig, which offers guaranteed hard standing parking whatever the weather. There wil be 50 mile lap with a few changes from previous years route. It will be a mix of open moorland, gravel roads, and forestry tracks and trails, with 3 special stages, and plenty of spectacular Mid Wales countryside. It will include a few more challenging optional routes on the liaison sections. Entry fee is £90, you dont have to have an ACU licence, a one event one can be purchased with your entry, but you do need to register to be able to use the ACU online entry system (simple and FOC)
Class are as per British Bike Rally Championship, classes are as follows:
R1: Enduro Bikes 2 stroke up to 125cc and 4 stroke up to 250cc
R2: Enduro Bikes 2 stroke over 125cc up to 250cc and 4 stroke over 250cc up to 450cc
R3: Enduro Bikes 2 stroke over 250cc and 4 stroke over 450cc
T1: Trail/Adventure Bikes up to 575cc
T2: Trail/Adventure Bikes over 575cc
T3: Multi Cylinder
Vinduro: Pre 1985
Beginners – Non championship class (no points)
Please grade your ability between 1-10 on the entry form, 1 being Expert and 10 being Novice. This will be used to determine the starting order so entrants are riding with people of similar speed and ability. If you wish to ride with a mate or group of mates, please add this in the relevant section on the entry form, as this is much easier than getting loads of emails requesting this. Please bear in mind you will be graded in the position of the lowest graded rider in your group.
As usual there will be a social get togther at Llanidloes rugby club on the Satruday evening, where food will be laid on, and you will be able to sign on, save getting up so early Sunday morning.
